Yeah you know what
Jan. 27th, 2016 11:26 pm[We'll need to do a little backtracking to talk about what happened to these dumbasses. See, rapid escalation of the apocalypse aside, Mal was still probably in the capital for a few weeks...and in the aftermath, kept some time longer, with promise of at least a blind eye turned to what he does, in return for his help fixing the damage caused.
It may have allowed him some time to see the paradox of Ellys--a generous, kind-hearted person, so long as you're not standing in opposition to her or the people she cares about, which any of the soldiers will helpfully inform him is only Mibu Haruhi.
See, it's not that she's not friends with other people--of course she is, she's a friendly person--but if Haruhi ordered it she'd tear open the throat of the Empress herself. To the people here, this seems like a kind of a given...which could lead a man to the wrong conclusions, or the right ones, depending on how much he knows about shifters.
And certainly, a month is enough time for Elly herself to be endlessly curious about his work--about the alchemy itself, even. It's stuff the Loremaster clearly already knows, so her curiosity, then, is genuine. And puppylike.
But with all that information, a more relevant piece might be, at an ungodly hour of the morning, the full moon hideously, stupendously bright, a very angry banging on the door of his room.
The month timer is up and someone just figured something out.]
